How to get to Zandvoort Beach from AMSTERDAM
To get to Zandvoort beach from Amsterdam, you can take the train from Amsterdam Centraal Station to Zandvoort aan Zee station. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes and trains run frequently throughout the day. You can also drive to Zandvoort, which takes around 30-40 minutes depending on traffic.
Most people assume that visiting Amsterdam limits you to just a city break when in reality you can visit Zandvoort beaches in less than half an hour. Zandvoort town is well worth visiting on your day out at the Zandvoort beaches. It is a pretty coastal town although does have the odd large tower block. Whilst there you can visit:
- Circuit Park Zandvoort: As mentioned earlier, Zandvoort is home to the Circuit Park Zandvoort, a racing circuit that has hosted many famous races, including the Dutch Grand Prix. Visitors can tour the circuit, watch a race, or even try their hand at racing themselves.
- The Dutch National Park Zuid-Kennemerland: Zandvoort is surrounded by the Dutch National Park Zuid-Kennemerland, which covers a large area of dunes and forests. Visitors can take guided walks or cycle tours to explore the park and learn about its unique ecosystem.
- Zandvoort Museum: The Zandvoort Museum is dedicated to the history and culture of Zandvoort, and it showcases the town’s rich history, including its fishing and tourist industries.

Zandvoort nude beach
Zandvoort beach is large. It is a wide and long sandy beach so has plenty of space for textile visitors and naturists.
Zandvoort nudist beach is a bit of a walk from the train station (30 minutes) so be prepared for that if you are on a day visit without the car. If you have a car then you can park nearer by heading to the southern end of the boulevard and you’ll end up with about a ten minute walk.
The beach is divided up into areas and the Zandvoort Naturist beach sits between numbers 68 & 71. It’s a very large beach for naturist use being 3000m long, so you can easily find some peace and quiet if you are happy to walk for it.
There are five beach clubs/pavilions serving this part of the beach so its easy to stay the day and enjoy access to plenty of food and refreshment.
